Become a Skillshare Host
As a host, you’re in charge of reaching out to your neighbors, deciding on a date and signing up! Registration opens in January, and Skillshares will start in March. We’ll generally offer a Sunday and Wednesday evening option. We require a minimum of ten participants.
Each host is provided with ready-made flyers, a guide to hosting, and a signed copy of The Pacific Northwest Disaster Guide by Henry Latourette Miller.
The first ten people to sign up for each event will receive a free ready-bag. They’ll also leave with the Aware and Prepared Curriculum, a printed, take-home resource.
Aware and Prepared Skillshares have three parts: presentation, training, and community gathering.
Each skillshare is organized as a 3 hour potluck. It’s a chance to get to know your neighbors and start having the kind of conversations that can change your life. Share what you’ve done to prepare, even if you’re just getting started, and initiate ways to help each other build accountability as a group. You will hear from a NET Leader and will learn how to harden your house against fire.
Free to all residents of
